01 / The project
45 years of landmarks, in one book.
Over 45 years, China State Construction has built some of Hong Kong’s best-known landmarks, from the Hong Kong International Airport and its Three-runway System to Hong Kong Disneyland and the Hong Kong Palace Museum, along with public housing, water supply and healthcare facilities across the city.
INSPIRES 築跡 brings that story together in a 108-page commemorative book for the group’s 45th anniversary, written for clients, partners, staff and government stakeholders in Hong Kong and mainland China.
02 / Design & layout
A cover that builds the number.
The cover turns “45” into a construction scene: a set square, rulers and a road form the numerals, with workers, cranes, landmark buildings and an aircraft built into the shapes. The same warm orange gradient and line details run through the book.
Miracle designed and laid out the whole book, from the cover and chapter openers to project spreads that pair photography with English and Chinese text on facing columns.
03 / Photography & copywriting
Words and pictures for two audiences.
Miracle photographed for the book, including leadership portraits for the opening messages, and wrote the English copy that runs alongside the Chinese text throughout.
Writing in English rather than translating line by line gave the book a natural voice for international readers, while keeping each section aligned with its Chinese counterpart.
04 / Print & distribution
Printed, packed and delivered.
Miracle managed printing of the finished book and its delivery to more than 100 locations across mainland China and Hong Kong, so every office, partner and stakeholder received a copy for the anniversary.
The book is also available as an online flipbook for readers who prefer to browse on screen.
